This journal is intended as a repository for random bits of fan enthusiasm that just won't leave me alone, no matter how rational I try to be about it. I am very rarely fannish, but when I am...I really tend to go into the deep end. At least a little bit.
It's been almost ten years since I last fell into obsession with a form of mass media. Well, that's not entirely accurate, but it has been about ten years since the love of some form of mass media had me unable to resist writing fanfiction. I do love to write. And while I tend to try and concentrate on my own original works these days (not to mention my job, my home, my life and responsibilities), every so often the fanfiction urge will rise up. And so here I am, once again.
This time, I'm posting them.
So what's filling my starved fannish heart with glee? BBC's Sherlock, which also re-awoke my longtime love of the classic Sherlock Holmes stories. (And the '09 movie, which I just saw very recently and quite enjoyed.) For now, that's what you're going to find here: fanfiction stories in those universes. Perhaps I'll branch out into other enthusiasms; perhaps I won't. For now, I'm going to have some fun. I hope you'll join me. Comments are welcome; recommendations of nifty bits of ficcage and fandom will get you squees.
Feel free to friend me if you wish. I am a moderately reserved sort (when I'm not squeeing like a fangirl), but I do like to make new acquaintances. And I fully intend to friend others. If you just want to jump straight to the heart of the matter, my Master Fic List is permanently pegged to the top of my journal, and I keep it up to date. Or you can just have fun with the tagging.
